Dr. Dipu Moni (born 8 December 1965 ) [1] is a Bangladeshi female politician who served as Bangladesh's Foreign Minister from 2009 to 2013. After the Awami League victory in 2008, he was appointed as the first woman foreign minister in Bangladesh. Dr. Dipu Moni, MP, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Ministry and former Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni is representing Chandpur-3 (Chandpur-Haimchar) in the 10th Parliament. He was awarded the Mother Teresa International Award for his outstanding contributions to social development and administrative field. [2] He was re-elected as joint general secretary of the Awami League's 20th Council held in 2016. [3]

Dipu Moni is the founding member of Bangladesh Awami League and a key role in language movement and the daughter of the first council-elected general secretary MA Wadud of East Pakistan Student League. He passed HSC from Holiks College . He studied LLB from Dhaka Medical College and MBBS from Bangladesh National University . After receiving MBBS Degree, Jones of the United States earned an MPH degree from the School of Public Health at Hopkins University. [4] He also did a Master's degree in law from the University of London [5] and a course on negotiation and conflict resolution from Harvard University. Currently he is a lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh

Dipu Moni is elected MP of Chandpur-3 constituency. Under his leadership, Bangladesh's foreign ministry - took important steps to solve the problems with neighboring countries. At the time of the Foreign Minister, she was elected the first woman and South Asian Chairperson of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group. Besides, under his leadership Bangladesh won the sea. In this, the government of Bangladesh took initiatives to finalize the unresolved issues related to the sea boundary of Myanmarand India with around four decades of international law.
